These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Modraly iOS app and the website at modraly.com (together, the “Service”), operated by Modraly (“we”, “us”).
By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Who Modraly is for
Modraly is intended for adults of legal drinking age in their country. It is not directed at children. Do not use the app if you are under the legal drinking age where you live.
What Modraly is (and isn’t)
Modraly is a non-judgmental alcohol moderation tracker for personal awareness. It helps you log drinks, see weekly references, and optionally use Premium features.
Modraly is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Units, calories, guideline references, and any Apple Health figures are estimates for personal awareness only. If you have concerns about your drinking or health, speak with a qualified professional or use the support resources linked in the app.
Licence to use
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Modraly iOS app (downloaded from the App Store) and to access modraly.com for their intended purposes.
You agree not to:
- copy, modify, or reverse engineer the app except as allowed by law;
- use the Service unlawfully or to harm others;
- encourage minors to consume alcohol; or
- misuse Apple Health, notifications, or export features.
The App Store and Apple’s terms also apply to your download and use of the iOS app.
Accounts and your data
Modraly does not require a Modraly account. Drink logs and related preferences in the app stay on your device in the current version of the product.
How we handle information is described in our Privacy Policy.
Modraly Premium (subscriptions)
The free plan lets you log drinks without a subscription. Premium unlocks additional features such as longer history, home-screen widgets, a custom morning reminder time, unlimited favourites, custom stats ranges, and CSV export. Exact features may change over time; what you get is described in the app at the time of purchase.
Premium is offered as auto-renewable App Store subscriptions (for example annual and monthly). Prices, currency, trial length, and taxes are set and shown by Apple in the App Store for your storefront and are confirmed at purchase. We do not process your card details.
Free trial
Where offered (currently on the annual plan), a free trial may be available. Trial length is configured in App Store Connect and shown in the app before you subscribe. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription converts to a paid subscription and your Apple ID is charged.
Renewal and cancellation
Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel anytime in your Apple ID account settings (Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device). Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription by itself.
Refunds
Payments and refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple under Apple’s policies.
Optional features
You control optional features such as:
- local morning and evening reminders (notification permission);
- writing drink samples (and optional calorie estimates) to Apple Health; and
- exporting a CSV of your logs (Premium).
Turning a feature off or denying permission does not stop you from logging drinks. Apple’s terms and privacy rules also apply to App Store purchases and Apple Health.
Website waitlist
If you join the waitlist on modraly.com, you agree that we may email you product updates. You can unsubscribe using the link in those emails or by contacting us.
Intellectual property
Modraly, the Modraly name and branding, and the content of the Service are owned by us or our licensors. Apple, the Apple logo, App Store, and Apple Health are trademarks of Apple Inc. Third-party support resources linked in the app remain the property of their owners; Modraly is not affiliated with them.
Disclaimer
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any rights you have under mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence that cannot be waived by contract.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Modraly and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us for Premium in the 12 months before the claim (if any) and (b) £50, except where liability cannot be limited by law (including death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).
Changes
We may update these Terms as the product changes. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Significant changes will be highlighted in the app or on this page when appropriate. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms, except where mandatory law requires a different process.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
