I Am Sober counts sober days; Reframe runs a course
Two recovery-adjacent products people confuse with a drink tracker. One is a clock. The other is a 160-day programme. The full comparison sits next door.
I Am Sober sells consecutive days without a drink. Reframe sells daily tasks and a community that treats habit change as the job. Tracking exists in Reframe. In I Am Sober, the count is the product.

Choose I Am Sober if
A free sobriety counter with a daily pledge, money and time saved, and a large recovery community. One drink resets the day count. That is the design. Sober Plus adds extra workbook items, more addictions and private groups. iPhone and Apple Watch. It is not a drink diary for people who still drink.
Pick it if you have stopped, and the unbroken count plus a daily pledge is what you will actually open. Skip it if you still drink and do not want day zero.
Choose Reframe if
A neuroscience and CBT course, not a tracker: daily tasks, readings, meditations, a community, monthly challenges. Tracking exists inside it. You pay for the course. 7-day trial, then a subscription; App Store SKUs on 10 September 2026 ran from $13.99 a month and roughly $60–$120 a year. English, US. Modraly does none of this.
Pick it if a structured course, not a clock, is the mechanism. Skip it if you wanted a diary at diary prices.
Where Modraly sits
Counts units, spend and calories, and puts the week next to the official line for your country. No account, no Modraly server, no ads, no data collection on free or Premium. The month calendar is fully visible; stats and history stop at 15 days unless you pay. Three favourites on free. Widgets, custom ranges, CSV, custom icons and unlimited history are Premium. An App Clip can log a drink without installing; that log is discarded when you install. Not a coach, not a streak, not Android. Only relevant here if neither a sober clock nor a 160-day course was the search. Then the comparison is the list.
